Zurich Connected Cars technology has confirmed the firm’s ISO/IEC 27001:2013 recertification for another year-long period, the most widely recognized international standard outlining best practices for information security standards issued by external auditors — by the BSI (British Standards Institution).
ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is an Information Security Management System (ISMS) standard published in October 2013 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Generally the ISO/IEC 27000 standards help organizations keep information assets secure. Using this standards will help the organization manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details or information entrusted to you by third parties. The ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard is the most widely recognized among the ISO 27000 standard series for information security. The standard ensures that organizations have established methodologies and a framework of business and IT processes to help identify, manage, and reduce risks. Additionally, it considers risk assessment and treatment risk with respect to information security.
For the achievement of certification Zurich Connected Cars technology successfully completed supervisory the standard audit by meeting the requirements of the standard for information security management System-ISO 27001. It provides an opportunity to show that we meet the requirements for information security in accordance with this international standard, which is, in fact, the basis for security in the company. In order to successfully pass the audit, the company fulfills all the conditions and requirements of ISO 27001 standard during the year, namely, conducting internal security audits, investigating incidents, improving the information security management system, raising staff awareness in terms of security, etc.
